Gâteaux Owner and Pastry Chef, Lindsay Cromartie prepared herself with a Baking and Pastry Degree before finding her way back to our lovely old mountains. She started work at The Inn on Biltmore Estate in Asheville, and became their Pastry Demi-Chef. She left Biltmore to become the Pastry Chef at Lansdowne Hotel and Resort in Leesburg, Virginia, near Washington, D.C. Fortunately, after a year in the "Big City," Lindsay and her family realized " ... there's no place like home ..." and returned very happily to Hendersonville, where, after a brief hiatus, she has established Gâteaux.

Although our dishes are as varied as the Ingredients that are in them, they do have several things in common; they are served in exquisite fashion, they are meant for immediate gratification and they are to be savored.

Paul and Sarah met while working as Chefs at Biltmore Estate in Asheville, NC. When the time came to purchase a home and start a family, they immediately settled on Hendersonville. Five years later and with the addition of their one year old son Hayden, Paul and Sarah are excited to take their commitment to this community to a new level.
Having worked in upscale establishments for much of their careers, Sarah and Paul wanted their first restaurant project to be fun and approachable. HenDough aims to accomplish that while maintaining the high level of quality and hospitality that they have come to expect.
Realizing that bringing HenDough to life wouldn’t be possible without the support of the community, Paul and Sarah hope to give back through the support of local businesses and farms.

Postero is a culmination of a quarter of a century of working in restaurants, dining out with friends and family, and an admiration of those with the entrepreneurial spirit. We love Food, all of it. We have never met a dish we wouldn't try, and most of em we’d get seconds of. We believe classic French Culinary Technique to be the cornerstone for New American Cuisine, which is a true melting pot of cultures, ingredients, and techniques. We love the idea of applying modern day sensibilities to traditional recipes. Use great ingredients and treat them with respect for where they are from, how they are handled and who they are going to. There are few joys greater in our lives than sharing tasty, beautiful food with our family, friends and community that we are proud to be a part of.

The menu offers pizza, pasta, vegetarian, seafood, and meat dishes, utilizing locally raised trout and organic locally grown produce when available as well as fine wine and beers, including biodynamic and organic selections.
