Love is Love
"Never be bullied into silence. Never allow yourself to be made a victim. Accept no one's definition of your life; define yourself."--Harvey Fierstein
Since 2003, the Bearfootin’ Art Walk has helped raise funds for Downtown Hendersonville and a variety of local non-profits. This year for the first time in it's history a bear was sponsored to raise money for PFLAG in Hendersonville.
PFLAG exists to educate, advocate and support those in our local LGBTQ community and their families. PFLAG Hendersonville has been supporting families in Henderson County since 1996. The PFLAG bear attempts to emphasize what we believe to be the most important lesson to these families. That is, that acceptance starts in the home. You can see it on display at the corner of Main St. & 1st Avenue across from the Courthouse in Hendersonville.
Please help us raise some money for PFLAG's work. You can safely and securely give a donation by credit card or your PayPal account by clicking the "Donate" button below. If you have a question send us a message to HendersonvillePride@gmail.com
We aim to promote unity, visibility, self-esteem and positive image of the LGBTQIA+ community. Goals include activities to enhance mental and physical health, to provide social support, and foster an awareness of past and present contributions of LGBTQIA+ people.
